If u had a choice between a $10,000 to win show which would you rather see Late Models or Modifieds?

I own a late model and would still rather see a big money Mod race. They just put on a great show. Seems the big money late model show gets to be a train race .

On the flip side when these promoters stick there neck out for a big modified show the mod guys need to
Show up or don't complain when there isn't any big mod shows.. For example farmer city had a $3000 win last year and they got 32 mods... That won't cut it.. The same for this weekend.. Kentucky lake is having a $5000 to win this weekend and a great purse thats starting 32 cars and that should draw 50+ mods..
We shall wait and see.. I will give it to guys like mevert, kinder,Kissinger and guys like that.. They go anywhere if there's a big mod show.. The way I look at it if a promoter sticks his neck out and pays at a minnumum of $3000 with a good purse these drivers better show up or don't whine when there's no big shows..

You need to get out more. While I travel to see midgets and sprints also, most of the specials that I go to are late model specials and very, very few of them are "train races".

Non-Wing Sprints and Mods, paying $3000 each at I-55,would be a SHOW,that a lot of folks would pay good money to see!!!..It would be better than a WoO show,in my opinion!...$30 admission, tops, but what do I know?..;)

Thanks to the Great people at Summit Racing Equipment Tri-City Speedway's Modified Mania
will now be paying $3,000 on Thursday, $3,000 on Friday & $5,000 on Saturday!
Another reason why this is the best show of the year at the best track in the area. It's amazing what can happen when promoters work their asses off and find sponsors willing to support shows like this.

I like both classes but seems like modifieds are more competitive if you have $10,000 to win late model show having 42 late models and have a $10,000 to win modified show you would have 60 Modifieds lot better u would think tracks in the area would have a big modified show everybody wins

Would be kind of neat to have a modified race that has tire rules of the harder late model tires that paid well through out the feild.

You can make the winners purse a million dollars, and you wont get a ton of mods. When the big money teams show up thwyre gonna take 70 percent of the payout. If im a mod driver, i would take my car that pays the winner well, but pays well thru the entire field. We all know who would win the big shows in this area. The car count will sky rocket when the pay for the rest of the field os boosted. Same with a late model show.

Easier said than done. Just an idea

10k is a normal race for Lucas oil and WOO. No big deal to watch the same 30-35 cars race. Modified for 10k would be by far a better race. I love all types of racing but the top modifieds in the our area usually get the shaft on money races by paying a hefty entry fee.... Late models never pay... It's the average joe racer that keeps tracks open and never get the reward..... JMO... Rick Stevenson

Just been thinking about bigger shows.. I know mods don't draw the crowd that late models do but I really don't feel people don't give the modified guys a fair shake... I've been hitting the bigger mod shows and I've seen some great racing.. In my opinion I would rather watch a bigger mod show then a late model show.. For example look at tri city's mod mania.. An average of 60+ cars a night. You have to go to eldora to see late model numbers like that. Promoters are getting better with having bigger mod shows. Just wish these mod drivers had more bigger shows.. I would look for 60+ mods this weekend at kentucky lake for the $5000 to win show.. I just feel there's to many late model shows and sanctions to have 50+ late models at any show other than eldora on a consistent basis.. I applaud the modified drivers
And thank them for putting on a great show..
Late models

But if I really had a choice it would be 10k to win for non wing sprints

mod mania pays what 3k 4k and 5k to win and how many mods did they getand was really funny they paid 10 to win the week before for lates and 39 cars the following wweek they paid 2k and got 50 cars it ain't always about pay but the timing of the show

Mods but instead of 10,000 to have 5000.00 to win and spread the other 5000.00 out for the rest of the field . Would probably get more cars that way.
