MADISON IL - Gateway International Raceway will jump start its 2007 Season on Saturday March 17 and Saturday March 24 with the Inaugural O'Reilly Auto Parts IceBreaker. The Inaugural O'Reilly Auto Parts IceBreaker will consist of Gateway's traditional beginning of the year IceBreaker Open Test and Tune, the Inaugural IceBreaker Car Show, and the Inaugural IceBreaker Swap Meet. Gates will open at 8 AM each day with the events concluding each day at 5 PM. Spectator admission for all three events is one low cost of $ 10 per person.
The O'Reilly Auto Parts IceBreaker Drag Racing will be open to all vehicles. Gateway will provide .500 full tree staging lanes for street tire vehicles, slick tire vehicles, motorcycles, jr. dragsters, and a lane for racers who prefer a starting line tree other than .500 full tree. Each day tech will open at 8:30 AM with the track going hot at 10 AM. Track activities will conclude at 5 PM. Drag Racing is $25 each day. Drag Racing will be held if there are dry track conditions and the temperature is above 45 degrees.
The O'Reilly Auto Parts IceBreaker Car Show will also be open to all vehicles with the first 100 vehicles each day receiving commerative Inaugural O'Reilly Auto Parts IceBreaker Dash Plaques. The O'Reilly Auto Parts IceBreaker Best of Show will be crowned each day. Judging for the IceBreaker Car Show will be done by the participants, with each entry earning one vote. Car Show entries are $15. Voting will conclude each day at 3:30 PM, with the IceBreaker Car Show Best of Show Presentation at 4:00 PM.
