Lebanon,Mo-With the strong shows in the feature events so far this season at the Midway,track owner Harold Armstrong has said if 20 Modifieds show-up for the regular Friday Night events,then the first place money will go up to 600 to win the feature with 400 going to the runner-up and it will still pay 75 to start the feature.
"The modifieds have really been putting on a great show,but then again so have all of the classes,so if the car count gets to 20 plus,then the winner will be colecting alittle more, and in fact it will be alittle more throughout the field."
" We did change 1 thing on the Modifieds,and that was the fact that they can run a beadlock on the right front along with the right rear.This is strictly a safety and cost issue,as I watched 3-4 cars have right front flat tire as they rolledover going through the corners.This will also help keep the tire cost down as I don't believe that they will be putting on new ones as often.The other reason for the extra car count meaning extra dollars was on our Sat Special event where we paid 600 to win and 100 to start-we had 20 plus Mods that night,and we are close to making a formal announcement concerning a Big Dollar Modified Special coming-up soon as all the details are close to being final."
