Independence Day Weekend Spectacular at Montgomery County Speedway July 2nd and 3rd.

NEW FLORENCE, MO (June 29th) – On Saturday July 2nd Montgomery County Speedway will hold the normal racing program featuring Budweiser UMP Late Models, Miller UMP A-Modifieds, B-Modifieds, Pepsi Super Streets and RAMS Mini Stocks.

There are also bounties to be collected on Leroy Haney in the UMP Miller A-Modified division and Dave Wofford, Jr. in the RAMS Mini Stock division. The bounties will be paid to anyone that can beat these great drivers in the feature event.

If the bounties are not collected on Saturday night then they will stand for the show on Sunday evening.

There will also be a huge coloring contest for the kids sponsored by Rdboyz Racing, Kinnaird Racing, Mid Rivers Bar & Grill, E & J Auto Salvage, and Kinnaird Embroidery and Souvenir Stand. Prizes to be awarded!!!

Admission for Sunday: Adults $12.00, Children $5.00, Pit Passes $25.00

Spectator Gates open at 5:00PM, Racing at 7:00PM

Then on Sunday July 3rd there will be 7 big classes of cars for the finale of the big Independence Day Spectacular at Montgomery County Speedway!

The Fastrak Late Model Midwest Regional Series will make it’s second appearance at Montgomery County Speedway for the “Freedom 25”. The “Freedom 25” will be a Fastrak points race paying $1,200 to win.

Drivers expected to make the event are current Fastrak points leader Joe Morris, Terry James, Eric Rudd, Kevin Pooler, Scott Hutchinson, Matt Filkens, Todd Nieman, Joey Morris, Louie Baker, Jr. and Brian McGeein in what promises to be one of the best Fastrak Late Model races of the season.

The Fastrak group will once again have the tennis ball throw, tennis balls containing prizes and cash will be thrown into the crowd before the feature event. There will also be a special appearance by “Dirt Hound” giving balloons away to the kids before the races.

Also on the card will be the UMP Miller A-Modified division will be racing a 20 lap feature for $700 to win. Area drivers expected to participate include J.D. Rottler, Jeff Horst, Casey Pearson, Leroy Haney, Mike Vanderiet, Jr., Jeff LaBaube, John Campbell, Rusty Griffaw and many more will be competing for 20 laps around the “Fastest Little Track in Missouri”.

There will also be a 15 lap race for the best B-Modified division with the feature event to pay $700 to win. Area drivers expected to participate include Craig Roden, Randy Dickman, Driver’s Seat 25 winner Brian Kinnaird, Casey Morris, Mike Vanderiet, Jr., Rich Johns, Tim Barrett and many more.

The Pepsi Super Street division will also be on the card racing for $400 to win in their 15 lap feature event Area drivers expected to participate include Dan Kaminski, Scott Spalding, Beau Davis, Ron Imm, Daryl Dodge, Craig Bessinger, Matt Martin,Buddy and Ed Lowry and many more will be competing for 15 laps around the “Fastest Little Track in Missouri”.

The race for the Super Streets will be open suspension so 3 link, 4 link, leaf cars, j-bars are all legal for this race. All cars must run a 2 bbl carb. Holly 500 cfm, and run on Street Stock tires, E-Mod tires ok to run only if run at your home track, no berts or brinns, must run gas, no alcohol.

The Firecracker 25 for the RAMS Mini will feature the best Mini Stock drivers in the St. Louis area all trying to win the 25 lap feature event. Drivers expected to make the event are current RAMS and Montgomery County Speedway points leader Dave Wofford, Jr., Shannon “The Flying Fenceman” Burch, Jack Tschannen, Wes Kintz, Robert Denny, Brian and Kelly LaGarce, Kyle Hornekor, Scott Geary, Butch Hartman and Joe Trendle in what promises to be one of the best Mini Stock races of the season.

The RAMS, The Hubcap and Wheel Store and Butch Hartman Racing and Rob Denny Motorsports will also be donating a boys bicycle, a girls bicycle and other prizes to be given out to the youngsters.

For the 1st time ever Montgomery County Speedway’s Independence Day Weekend Spectacular will welcome the Vintage Cars to the high banked ¼ facility. The vintage cars are cars that are over 20 years old will be at the track. It will be a night of living auto racing history as these old dirt warriors take to the track. Area drivers expected to attend are Rich Wolfmeier, Rich Steyh, and Marc McClintock.

Also appearing will be the Southern Missouri Dwarf Car Association for their annual appearance at Montgomery County Speedway. The small dwarf cars reach some amazing speeds as they rocket around the high banked ¼ mile facility. Area drivers expected to attend on Sunday evening July 3rd will be Ron Wick, Pam Sheppard, Dom Wadlow, and Vince Conway.
