Greenbriar, Arkansas (02/28/10) – Despite being a new team, Jack Sullivan and Team GRT have shown glimpses of brilliance early in the 2010 season, and they took a major step toward solidifying the strength of their team on Saturday night as Jack powered the #18 AAA Diesel/Bryant Motorsports/GRT/Vic Hill Racing Engine Super Late Model to the $3,500 feature win in the Texas Dirt Track World Championship at Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track.
The O'Reilly SUPR, sanctioned event drew a stout field of 55 competitors. After drawing a large number at the pill draw, Jack started 9th in his heat race, but would blaze his way to a 2nd place finish. Via passing points, he earned the pole position for the feature event. Early in the event Sullivan jumped to an early lead over fellow front row starter, Kenny Merchant. However, during the race’s middle and late stages Jack would endure challenges from Billy Moyer. Sullivan would push back Moyer’s advances as he went on to lead every lap of the 40 lap feature event en route to the $3,500 victory over Billy Moyer and Ray Moore!
The next tentative for the GRT House Car pilot is slated to be the MARS double header at Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, Tennessee on March 12th-13th. The Friday, March 12th program will be highlighted by a $3,000 to win feature, and the Saturday, March 13th program will see a $5,000 to win event.
