Lebanon,Mo.-Despite heavy rains Wed and Thursday the high-banks of the Lebanon I-44 Speedway began the season long point chance in the Central Bank Racing Series as side by side actionhighlighted the 25th season of local area racing with Lebanon's Tony Jackson Jr pulling the upset in the UMP LateModel feature.

The start of the feature found 2007 track champion Dustin Mooneyham jump from his outside front row spot to grab the early lead with Kansas City driver Brett Lafollette close behind while 2-time champion Brad Looney,Larry Moon and Jackson Jr followed.

The battle up front became even more intense as Lafollotte tried several times to grab the lead on the low side while Dustin stayed on the high groove as Looney,Jackson Jr and Darrell Mooneyham closed-up quickly. On lap 10,Lafollette grabbed the lead with Jackson quickly following. The caution waved on lap 12 for Adam Brown's spin as Mooneyham shot back to the lead.On the restart,Lafollette took back control with Jackson Following quickly. On lap 16,Jackson made the move to the inside of Lafollette to grab the lead as Dustin Mooneyham and Looney were battling hard.A lap 17 caution for LeRoy Johnson and Larry Moon in turn 4 took both drivers out after good runs early. On the restart Jackson Jr glued his car to the bottom as Brad Looney started moving on the high groove and was reling in the leader Jackson to pull within 3 car lengths.Jackson the 2007 USRA I-44 Modified champion kept his GRT by Frye car perfect as he held on to record his 1st ever UMP Dirt LateModel feature win followed by Looney, brett Lafollette,Dustin Mooneyham and Darrell Mooneyham.

"The car was good in the heat, but we drew a tough heat and the passing points system put us in the 3rd row.The car was great on long runs and came around strong.Despite the rains, the track was in great shape and very racy with 2 good racing lanes."quoted Jackson.

Our motor company(Outlaw Racing Engines) have won Bomber, FactoryStock, A-Mod and B-Mod features and this is our 1st LateModel feature win,I'm really happy about that.

The USRA Modifieds also excited the crowd with quick side by side action as Jason Meadors jumped to the early lead from his outside pole with Terry Beckham II quickly following.Meadors had checked out from the field as Beckham and Brett Lafollette and Mookie Cunningham were wagging war for 2nd place.During the long green run,Mookie Cunningham was becoming the quickest car and was challanging Lafolette for 3rd when he spun on lap 9.On the restart,Beckham grabbed control from the leader Meadors as Meadors fell back to 3rd.With Beckham in control,2006 track champion Justin Neuman had charged from his 7th starting spot and was applying pressure to Beckham while Jimmy Willis and Don Luna were battling for 4th place. In the final 3 laps,Neuman stayed close to Beckham's back bumper, but the driver known as "Mr Excitement" held off the charges to take the victory followed by Neuman,Willis,Luna and Mookie Cunningham at the stripe.

The B-Mod feature saw the early battle of the 2007 track champions as LebanonMidway champion Jason Otto jumped to the early lead with I-44 kingpin Josh Woody right behind him.The duo battle until lap 5 when a rear bracket broke on Otto's car putting Wody in charge as he never looked back in grabbing his 1st win of the season as a tight battle for 2nd place would find Mickey Burrell overtaking Trent Harrison to grab the runner-up spot while Brian Monnahan and Brandon Pister followed in the top 5.

The Bomber feature had Joe Francis take charge early from his fornt row starting spot, but Chris Morelock was chargin hard until lap 4 when problems put him on the sidelines.Francis would then hold off a late race surge by Jim Jones in topping the Bomber feature with Jones,Mike Cole,Rodney Yost and Kevin Morrison following.

The SuperStocks made a visit to the high-banks and JC Newell took the opening lead and never looked back in recording the feature win with Bennie Joiner,Bill Scharr,Larry Prewett and Mike Jones following.

FactoryStock action saw Matt Brookshire grab the opening lead with Kevin Crider close behind until the halfway point of the race and Brookshire pulled away to grab his 1st feature event win in the FactoryStocks with Crider,Lonnie Henderson,Justin Grindstaff and Wayne Bysor following.

Shorty Doublin lead all of the Rookie feature over Robert Doublin.

Up next the Central Bank Racing Series points chase will continue next Sat Night with the UMP LateModels,USRA Modifieds,B-Mods,Bombers,FactoryStocks and Rookie Cars with the gates opening at 5PM with hotlaps at 6:45 and Racing at 7:30.
