The following is a copy of an email I received from Tina Rudisaile. I don't know if anyone is interested in these items or might know someone who is, or maybe you have an idea. If so please send me a private message.

My brother, Ernie, has a huge amount of racing collectibles, mostly Gordon. There is everything from small yard sales stuff, but a lot of die cast that he paid hundreds of dollars each for, an uncut front of a pepsi machine, an autographed racing boot, tires, sheet metal and autographed pictures, etc. He is offering these all to Tim and I to help the the expenses of our adopting a baby girl from China. We were wondering if you might know someone interested in this type of stuff or somewhere we might to try and sell it.

the only thing i can think of is the pevely flea market or maybe see if awsome collectibles will sell them on consignment or maybe see if ray will let them set up a booth at i 55 or post everything on the classifieds here on stlracing.com.

on a side note after all tim and tina have been through, i think what they are doing is wonderful. (giving someone else a chance to live a good life.) that is just awsome!!!!!!!

Any autographed stuff would need a certificate of authenticity to bring any money on Ebay. Ebay has had a serious problem with fake autographed merchandise for a long time now, so many buyers wont bid, or bid extremely little, unless there is a certificate of authenticity, and pictures of the celebrity signing the item. Sorry to mention this, but it is better to know it now, than to pay to list a lot of autographed merchandise, and then be stuck selling genuine merchandise for a lot less than the item's actual value.

The autographed stuff might be awesome to either auction off or use as a raffle. Might not make as much money though depending on what it is.

Jake's mother came to the races Saturday and will again attend this upcoming Saturday. She said they had certificate's of authenticity for the items. I thought about ebay, but I've heard about people getting taken advantage of and in this case I wanted to make sure I give her the best advice.

Thanks!

I sell on ebay (at this time I have over 800 positive feedbacks)and it is true that many FAKE autographed items are offered but if there are COAs with the items then they would fetch a better price..The up-side of ebay is that for a few cents a listing you showcase you item to millions..One of the down sides is the deadbeat bidder issue where a bidder will win a item then never pay for it BUt that would be a bit less of a issue on this type of item..The biggest issue is the time involved in creating the listings,,first you need a fairly good digital camara,,,one good picture is worth a 1000 words,,,and you need to be literate so you can give a accurate description of the item, planley state you payment terms..etc..As far as payment goes ,most ebayers like to use PAY PAL but there are certain riskes involved with using it.The most secure payment methoud is postal money orders..If you want to try a few items to test the market so to speak, get intouch with me and I will give you some assistment at no additional charge (other than ebays normal fees),,618 654 5122,,,Lenny G.
