Collierville, TN (2/26/08) – Jake “The Snake” Tucker and Tucker Motorsports are set to kick off the 2008 season this Saturday, March 1st at Checkered Flag Speedway in Hohenwald, Tennessee with the Rislone USCS Open Wheel Modified Series.
Jake, who hails from Collierville, Tennessee, will be piloting his #11 Larry Shaw/Dynotech Racing Engine/Parts Plus/Valvoline entry. The 2008 season will mark his third year of competition in the Open Wheel Modified division.
Tucker Motorsports has posted their 2008 tentative schedule on their official website at www.TuckerMotorsports.com . The team will spend a great time on the road as they compete in a majority of the newly formed Southern Modified Promotion (SMP) tour events. When not following the SMP, the team will compete at various tracks throughout the Southeast, including their home track, Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas.
This Saturday’s event at Checkered Flag Speedway will mark Tucker Motorsports’ first ever trip to the middle, Tennessee oval. The event is being sanctioned by the Rislone USCS Open Wheel Modified Series and will pay $1,200 to the winner of the 30 lap event.
