(WALNUT RIDGE, ARKANSAS) “The Fireball” Jeff Floyd picked up a win and a second place finish this weekend in local racing around the state of Missouri. Jeff racked up his first win of the season last Saturday night at the Poplar Bluff Speedway in Poplar Bluff, MO. The pilot of the Stamp Out Smoking / Floyd’s Body Shop / JFR Graphics #F1 GRT / Kuntz Ford Taurus took the lead on the last lap when the leader tangled with a lapped car coming off of turn two. Jeff finished second on Friday night at the Malden Speedway in Malden, MO.

“It was good to get our first win under our belt,” stated Jeff. “Hopefully that will lead to some more wins throughout the season. We kind of lucked into the win with the leader tangling with the lapped car, but that stuff has caused me some wins in the past. Then on Friday, we ran down the leader, but it was a momentum deal around the top of the track and we just couldn’t get by him. It was a good weekend for us though.”

Jeff will compete in the two ‘Hoosier Topless 40’ events this coming weekend at the Memphis Motorsports Park in Memphis, TN on Friday night and at the Delta Bowl Speedway in Tunica, MS the following night. Both events will pay $3,000 to the winner. You can learn more about these two tracks and the two events this weekend by accessing www.thunderatthepark.com and www.deltabowl.com.
