(Norman, IN) The Revel & Curry Motorsports team had a very disappointing weekend this past weekend, as the tire game was the name of the game both nights. Unfortunately, the team missed on the tire game both nights causing them to have sub par outings. At Richmond Raceway in Richmond, KY on Friday night, Jim took the checkers in his heat race in his #7 Swartz / Dale Meers Monte Carlo. In the Battle of Bluegrass Series-sanctioned $3,000 to win feature event, the team chose to soft of compound on tires and Jim faded from his front starting position to finish 13th.

The next night in the BoB-sanctioned $3,000 to win show at Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, KY, the tire game was reversed. The Revel & Curry Motorsports team put on to hard of tire for the heat race causing the Swartz chassis to push in the corner. This caused a major incident in the heat race in which the Swartz chassis was basically totaled. Needless to say, the team did not make the feature event on Saturday night.

“We just have to get past this bad streak that we are on right now,” said Jim from his JC Cattle farm on Monday. “We just missed on tires both nights and it cost us big time. The crew is trying to get our car from last year ready to go while the new car is getting fixed. So, hopefully it will be ready for this coming weekend.”

If the old car does get restored in time, the Revel & Curry Motorsports team is scheduled to compete in the $2,500 to win Northern AllStar Late Model Series event at Union County Speedway in Liberty, IN on Friday night. The team will then travel to Oakshade Raceway in Wauseon, OH on Saturday for the $10,000 to win UMP Summernationals finale. Keep up with “The Gentleman” Jim Curry all year long at www.jimcurry7.com.
