(MENOMONIE, WISCONSIN) Jimmy Mars and his #28 team tackled a pair of high-profile Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series showdowns in the states of Wisconsin and Minnesota over the May 18-19 weekend. On Friday night, Jimmy made the trip to 141 Speedway in Maribel, Wisconsin for a $12,000 to win contest. After laying down the twelfth quickest lap overall during the qualifying session, Jimmy grabbed the third transfer spot through his stacked heat race. The Menomonie, Wisconsin star then steered his MB Customs mount past five competitors during the 50-lap headliner to secure a strong fourth place showing behind only victor Earl Pearson, Jr., Bobby Pierce, and Hudson O'Neal!

Another $12,000 payday was on the line on Saturday evening at Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minnesota, as the 'NAPA North Star Nationals' drew a stout field of 30 competitors to the Gopher State venue. Jimmy clicked off the third fastest time in Group B during Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying before scoring a popular heat race triumph. After leading the first twenty circuits of the 50-lap main event, Jimmy fell back on a mid-race restart and eventually settled for a solid seventh place effort in the 'NAPA North Star Nationals.' Full results from the LOLMDS double-dip can be found online at www.lucasdirt.com.

The Mars Racing team will now turn their focus to the 26th edition of the Lucas Oil 'Show-Me 100,' which will be held from May 24-26 at the state-of-the-art Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and the Lucas Oil MLRA Series will co-sanction the three-day crown jewel extravaganza, which will kick off with a pair of $6,000 to win preliminary programs on Thursday and Friday. Drivers will earn points in each of the two prelim nights that will determine the lineups for Saturday's 100-lap grand finale, which boasts a hefty $30,000 top prize.

Jimmy has come painstakingly close to adding a 'Show-Me 100' title to his expansive resume, as he finished an impressive runner-up in both 2008 and 2009 when the lucrative race was held at West Plains Motor Speedway.
