(Elk Mound, WI) Persistent rains and soaked grounds have cancelled Jimmy
Mars Racing's next event at Thunder Valley Speedway in Glenmora, LA,
scheduled for this upcoming Saturday night, March 15th. The event was
scheduled to be a $15,000 Xtreme DirtCar Series points race and was to be
taped by the SPEED Channel. "I wish we could have gone down there and run
this weekend because we have not gotten to race in awhile and we have had
some good runs down there," said Jimmy from his home tonight. "I guess we
will have to wait to unload our Jimmy Mars Racing #28 MasterSbilt Monte
Carlo in the Carolina's in early April."
Jimmy's next scheduled events are at Carolina Speedway in Gastonia, NC on
April 11th and Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, SC on April 12th. Both events
are Xtreme DirtCar Series sanctioned races and will pay $10,000 to the
winner. Jimmy is currently in the second position in the 2003 Xtreme
DirtCar Series points standings and is looking for strong runs in the
Carolina's to keep him up at the top of the points chase. Keep up with
