(MENOMONIE, WISCONSIN) Jimmy Mars mastered his hometown Red Cedar Speedway on Friday night, August 11 to record his fourth triumph of the 2017 campaign in the 'Duane Mahder Memorial,' which was sanctioned by the WISSOTA Challenge Series! Jimmy scored the victory in his heat race as well, which landed him the outside of the front row for the start of the 55-lap special event. The Menomonie, Wisconsin star then emerged victorious in the headliner to bag the $5,555 payday by beating Mike Prochnow, Rick Hanestad, Marshall Fegers, and John Kaanta to the checkered flag. "It means a lot to win the Duane Mahder Memorial in front of all of his family and friends, it's quite an honor," quoted Mars this week, who led all 55 circuits for his third career WISSOTA Challenge Series victory. "I have to thank Red Cedar Speedway for putting on such a great event in Duane's memory and for all of the fans that came out to support it. It's always special to win in front of the hometown fans and hopefully we can get on a little roll here in the last couple months of the season!"

The Mars Racing team is now scheduled to take the August 18-19 weekend off from racing action to do some testing, but will return to competition on Friday evening, August 25 at Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
