POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- (August 5, 2006) Chris Jones picked up the checkered flag in the UMP Late Model feature at the Poplar Bluff Speedway Saturday night. Todd Hall settled for second place with Jeff Moss taking third, Charlie Cole was fourth with Scott Tracer fifth. They were followed by Bobby Prosise, Kevin Roslen, Gary Owens, David Holt and Mark Shaw. Jones won the first heat race with Hall second and Tracer third. Roslen won the second heat with Cole second and Moss third.
In the Modified class feature, Stephen Groves was the winner with Jared Wagster second, Tim Radford third, Austin Matthews fourth and Leonard Betsch fifth. They were followed by Mark Melloy, Emmett Groves, George Charles, Chad McCoy and Jeff McGhee.
In the Super Street class feature, Jared Wagster picked up another checkered flag with Claudie Cook second, Doug Moore third, Paul Reeder fourth and Chuck Tilley fifth. They were followed by Johnny Houart, Jimmy Cornell, Scott Tracer, Greg Sparks and Jason Pennington.
In the Pure Street feature, Greg Casey was the winner with Chris Cannon second, Jeff Beeson third, Mark Todd fourth and Kyle Berry fifth. They were followed by Michael Lack, Chris Kelley, Austin Rettig, Willis Glass and Jimmy Casey.
In the Dwarf car class feature, Brad Paquet was victorious with Mike Zaricor second, Jeff Asher third, Aaron Bell fourth and Nelson McMikle fifth. They were followed by Ron Wick, Bobby Black, Wayne Arnold, Michael Poyner and Dom Wadlow.
In the 2-Man Cruiser feature, the team of Horton/Foster was the winner with Coffer/Coffer second, Hanley/Michaels third, Stephens/Stephens fourth and Graham/Pittman fifth. They were followed by Wilkinson/Wilkinson, Leach/Leach, R. Prince/L. Prince, Ladd/Ladd and Felps/Janes.
