Des Moines, IA (August 23, 2018) – Josh Schneiderman and the Deuce Motorsports team scored a top ten with the Sprint Invaders at their home track of 34 Raceway last Saturday night and are looking to close the season strong in the World of Wheels #49 this weekend on Season Championship night at Knoxville!

Dropping the team’s 360 motor in the car to race with the Sprint Invaders last Saturday night, Schneiderman got stuck deep in his heat race thanks to a tough pill draw. “We had a bad draw at the beginning of the night and that made it a pretty tough night,” said Josh. “With the passing points system and the track still being pretty slimy in the heats, it was a tough task to move through the field.”

“The Professor” started moving forward after starting on the outside of the third row in his heat, but one mistake was enough to halt a charge to the front. “We had the chance to move up through our heat race, but I made a mistake on a restart and that set us back,” said Josh. “After that, I basically settled down in fifth.”

With a track that was still fast and relatively narrow, it was a battle for Schneiderman to wheel the Universal Therapy Group #49 towards the front. “The track was very similar to the night that the All Stars were in town,” said Josh. “We survived the feature and ended up 8th, which felt like an accomplishment after starting on the seventh row.”

In the closing laps, Josh was left battling with his brother Jarrod and John Schulz, and it played into how he closed out his race. “I was running 8th and felt like I could have made a move on Jarrod or John, but I approached it a bit differently with it being family,” said Schneiderman. “Had it been someone else, I likely would have been more aggressive and maybe thrown a bonsai move.”

While the team made progress in the A-main, it was a bittersweet ending to the night. “It was nice to pass some cars in the feature,” said Josh. “Though, I feel like we are usually a threat to win with the Invaders at 34, but the draw just kind of bit us on Saturday.”

“The Professor” will jump back into his 410 for this Saturday night’s Season Championship at the Knoxville Raceway, where he will look to hold onto seventh in the point standings!
