Juan Pablo Montoya...What a Jerk!!!

Skippy's initial comment made it sound like this happens every race in nascar. Fact is it doesnt happen every day.

My opinions still stands. If you are wiling to wreck your team mate in order to win then you are a tool! This recent "activity" with his crew reinforces my belief.

The question was "When was the last time a racer wrecked his team mate who was leading a Nascar race?" I dont see a definitive answer from you. But whoever it is ---they fall into the same category as Montoya. Anyone who would do that is a self centered jerk. I think Pablo fits the bill! AK

let's not forget Brian Vickers wrecking his old team mate Jimmie Johnson and he also took out Dale Jr last year.....and if i remember correctly, Jimmie was leading the race

Is he an American citizen? If not he should not be allowed to race in America. Toyota is building (assembling) their car in the U.S. which supposable makes it an American built car. The drivers should have to be an American citizen.

I have to 50/50 agree with this post. Juan is brash and a little harsh at times(remember..he is on probation for flicking the bird..lol) but..he also has every right to be that way in a sense. The man has literally excelled at anything he has driven and im sure he thinks he is runing with a bunch of rednecks..at times lol. He doesnt get it and probably never will. Its not all his fault and sometimes he comes out the wrong way. Is he
american??? Yes. What about
Ambrose in Bush....dont want him there either??? Not fair and it is a free country. Although i have to agree 100 percent on the Toyota issue. I donot like it one bit that they are there. Like Doug said...right now they cant run competitive so its not so bad now. That will..change also. They will eventually cry...moan..Nascar will realize their faults and they will be given perks to get better and bam...they will be front runners. Then...let the games begin. It will get good..im sure.

First off, if I offended anyone in anyway, I am sorry. I was not trying to be racist at all.

But for the person who posted about "typing with the hood on". Now that is going a little to far. I was not talking in that direction at all. That is the reason this post should be deleted, not from what I posted. Not everyone is like Imus.

Thanks Skippy!!!

Again, sorry if I offended anyone. Lets move on and deleted this thread if you like.

Go Nascrap!!!

Are you serious? Why would you NOT want the best drivers in the world driving in the BEST series in the world?? I would agree that there was a little bit of a publicity stunt going on when Chip Ganassi and Felix Sabates signed JPM, but fact is this guy is a winning driver regardless of his ethniticity. The publicity stunt being bringing in a Latin American driver to atrract spectators from those nations.

As far as Toyota, they are becoming more American than the big 3 (GM, Ford, and Dodge). They employee more Americans than than any of those companies who have moved most of their assembly operations to Latin America for cheaper labor! Oh what a coincidence.... Maybe we shouldn't allow Chevys, Fords, or Dodges to race Nextel cup since they aren't being assembled in the U.S. I mean hell your knocking on JPM because he wasn't born in the U.S.!!!!

Here's my take on the teammate thing.

I think the idea that drivers should race their teammates more carefully than other competitors is a contradiction of why they race and recipe for disaster. A driver's abilities are compromised when required to make decisions on the race track based on who he is racing late in the race.

Also you all are forgetting ... Chrysler is a GERMAN owned company. But since they have couple plants in St Louis area, we can look the other way on that fact if it disputes your Toyota opinion.

And Skippy05 ... The post about typing with the hood on was hilarious.

Let me get out of your way while you're backpeddling.

You're right; it doesn't happen every day. But I believe you were the one who maintained it NEVER happened. You can have your opinion. There's some validity to it. But you're just sore because you laid down the challenge to give you any example of that happening and I gave you several. Just admit you were wrong and move on...

Let me see if I've got this crystal clear: You start a thread, spewing a bunch of xenophobic nonsense, but I'M the bad guy for pointing out that you're a racist? I guess in your mind, the Jews are to blame for the Holocaust, right? If you're man enough to make a statement, you should be man enough to defend it and not have to **** the blame to someone else when you get called on it.

how about brian vickers punting jimmy johnson last year at talladega?(taking out earnhardt, jr as well) or, are you gonna split hairs here, beings that johnson wasn't totally past the 8 car when vickers punted him?
another time comes to mind is when the 8 car drove right thru the 15 car 2(?) years ago at charlotte(lowes). another hair splitter here, becuause the 15 car, mikey waltrip, wasn't leading. he was, however, running in the top 5. this was the race where they were blowing the rf tires all night, and crashing alot. i will go with skippy here, although his facts are a little fuzzy.

I'm not sure how my facts are a little fuzzy. The Earnhardt/Skinner deal happened midway during the race. The two were beating on each other and the caution came out. During the caution, Dale pulled up next to Skinner (his teammate) gave him a pretty solid donut and one of his hand gestures. Every other race I made mention of was the same situation: A teammate taking out a teammate for the lead of a race...something Kreke said NEVER happens in NASCAR. And now he's saying, "Well Skippy's making it sound like it happens every day." Pick a side and stick to it. It's not that big a deal. If you don't like Montoya for what he did, that's fine. I respect the opinion. At least you're not advocating his removal from the country because he's "one-a them thar fur-en-ers." But you made a delcarative statement and I, and a couple others here, proved you wrong. Those are the facts.

Hey Skippy. I looked at my prior posts and couldnt find where I said this "NEVER" happens. But thats typical of the liberal media to misrepresent the facts.

LMFAO

Hey, I know, Juan Pablo should dress up like one of the village idiots, dance around on the tail lift of the team hauler, jump the pit wall and punch a driver still strapped in his car, then he would be stlracing.com's "man of the year."

Now I'm LMFAO!!!! lolololol:D:D:D

Ok, tell me the last time another driver wrecked his team mate while leading a NASCAR race. I dont think you can.

You are right the word NEVER wasn't used. However "I don't think you can" is interpreted as meaning you think it never happened.

LOL at T-nie

Man! Beat me to it.

as sargeant friday (on dragnet) said "just the facts, ma'am, just the facts". looks like ol' todd got the facts right!! fotfkaslmao. that would be'falling on the floor, kicking and screaming laughing my a** off.' haahaa.

Let's see. We have Todd who tries his hand at a little media work. Midget racer who is good friends and is always at the side of another media kind (Standridge) all getting on the same bandwagon. Boy thats a surprise! I have always been willing to stick up for my beliefs and my family. Can you say the same? You never know; you may have to prove it one day.
