July 13th?

The Original Q
What's the format of the show that I've been hearing about on the 13th? Might be interested in attending a weekday show since I'm usually watching latemodels on the weekends. Thanks!

Nevermind, found it on the new site. Didn't know that SFCR had a new site. Looks good and info much easier to find. Might make it down for the UMP show Tuesday if "momma" says it's ok and we've got the funds!

Does anybody know what the payout for each division is? Hopefully, it will be enough to draw most of the good drivers from Pevely in each division..its gonna be great to see guys like Scott Weber and Ray Walsh come down and teach our local guys how its done....I-55 style!!! Dont get me wrong, weve got some very good drivers(Billy Smith, Kenny Kennedy, Brent Thompson), but you all see what happens when those guys take to the high banks of Pevely..they barely make the feature.

Hold on a minute. Part of the reason that those drivers stuggle up at Pevely is the difference in the rules. They are like apples to oranges. up at I-55 they run UMP rules, aluminum heads, lighter, better tires, etc. As long as you have a steel block you can basically run a carborated sprint car engine. At St. Francois, that have to run cast iron heads and the tires are the limiting factor so the need for the huge motor is not as great. So when they go up there they really don't have a good shot at a win. At St. Francois, however, I am sure that they will put on a very good show, even with the other rules in place.

I wouldn't take anything away from the SFCR modified drivers. Like he said, rules constrict them when running UMP events. I'm looking forward to this. I'd have to say that if SFCR was a UMP track running latemodels in addition to the rest of their classes you'd never see me anywhere else on Saturday night! But we all know that won't happen.

I expect Brent, Kenny, and Billy will all run decent. It's their home track, nobody knows the track better. Brent always does good at I-55 with the UMP boys, so I would say he's gonna be the best local. He was flying down there last week.

Well, I hope its not just gonna be Dixon and Schrader...2 late models going around the track isnt gonna draw many people. I do think that there will be close to 30 modifieds though, I hope most of the guys from Pevely make the trip(Weber, Walsh, Mabrey, Shereck, Bittle, etc.) Should make for an excellent show, just in the Modifieds!!!

I'd expect quite a few mods. 30 sounds like a good number, but I'm guessing more than that. Add Griffaw, Whaley, Worley, Wagner to the possibilities. I wouldn't doubt it if UMP Points leader Mike Harrison would show. It will be a great show.
