(Warrensburg, MO) Weekly racing returns to Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) this Saturday night, May 30th for L.J.S. Graphics Race Night at the track. Saturday night will mark the sixth week in the 2009 championship season and there are plenty of tight battles in all four racing divisions to keep things exciting.

Tim Karrick leads the modified division by a slim margin by virtue of his three heat-race victories and one main-event win. The driver for Basehor, Kansas is gunning for his first-ever CMS championship but will have his hands full in doing so as red hot Jim Moody of Odessa, Missouri is close behind. Moody is the only repeat feature winner so far in the young season. Two-time and defending track champion Aaron Marrant or Orrick, Missouri sits tied with Moody for the second position. Warrensburg drier James McMillin has been the model of consistency this season and finds himself in fourth just in front of Concordia, Missouri driver 'Movin' Dave Meyer, who is having one of his strongest starts to the season in recent years.

The return of ULMA sanctioned late model racing has proven to be exciting for the fans and a relief for the drivers, who desperately needed a solid Saturday night venue within the general area. Two-time late model track champion, Kevin Coyne of Kingsville, Missouri tops the standings after two weeks of competition. Coyne's strong finishes have secured him the early season lead over defending track champion Jon Binning of Warrensburg. It's a long drive from Jefferson City, Missouri but Robbie Test and his crew have made their travels pay off with a solid start to the season as he sits in third position. Another long-distance traveler, Randy Ainsworth of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, finds himself in fourth spot thanks to his consistent finishes while California, Missouri driver A.L. Barbour is having a great start to the season in the fifth position.

Youth prevails in the B-Modified standings as Jacob Ebert continues his impressive start to the 2009 campaign leading the rest of the drivers. Ebert, a two-time feature winner this season sits just ahead of one of only two drivers inside the top ten who is in the 'over 30' crowd, Brian 'Ziggy' Ziegler of Bates City. Bonner Springs, Kansas driver Ethan Isaacs sits solidly in the third position just ahead of Michael King of Orrick and Bryan Montgomery of Oak Grove, Missouri.

Past track champion driver Brian Johnson seems to have returned to form this season as he maintains first position in the Street Stock division. Kingsville driver Michael Mullins is looking strong so far this year as he sits solidly in second spot just in front of defending track champion Nic Bennett of Oak Grove. Two-time feature winner Chad 'the Bandit' Eickleberry holds down fourth spot with Kansas City driver Roger Stone not too far behind in the fifth position.

CMS returns to normal start times and regular race action this weekend with the Modifieds, Late Models, Street Stocks, and B-Modifieds.
