NASCAR pilot Ken Schrader will pilot his United Midwestern Promoters Late Model stock car, and fellow NASCAR pilot Kenny Wallace will be behind the wheel of a UMP Modified at NASCAR night at Paducah International Raceway Wednesday May 19, Track Enterprises promoter Bob Sargent announced Monday.

Schrader, the promoter at the I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Missouri, frequently competes in dirt track late model and modified races throughout the country, while Wallace, a fellow St. Louis area native occasionally stops for a night of competition and relaxation at one of the Midwest dirt bullrings.

United Midwestern Promoters late models, 700 horsepower stock cars head the card on Wednesday May 19, with Schrader competing the the late model portion of the evening. Kenny Wallace competes in the UMP Modified division, and the Paducah steel block late model division will also run on Wednesday night.

Schrader is fresh off of a victory in the Automobile Racing Club of America RE/MAX Series event at the Toledo Speedway, and will be competing in the May
18 NASCAR night at the Farmer City, Illinois raceway. A veteran of USAC open wheel and NASCAR Nextel Cup, Busch and Truck competition, the multi-talented Schrader is a fan favorite in the quad-state area. Schrader will make another appearance in the area later in the year, he has entered his ARCA RE/MAX car for the Federated-Southern Illinois 100 at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds on Labor Day.

Wallace, like Schrader is a Missouri native who began racing on the local short ovals in the St. Louis area. NASCAR night promoter Bob Sargent expects a competitive field of local and national UMP late model and modified drivers against Schrader and Wallace on Wednesday meaning that a large field of cars could be in the pit area, as well as a large crowd of fans in the stands to see how the locals fare against the two NASCAR drivers.
