St. Charles, MO (Feb. 5, 2003) After a long and painful recovery from a motorcycle crash in May of last year, Kevin Gundaker is excited and ready for the 2003 racing season. The 47 year old Gundaker has went through countless hours of physical therapy and rehab for a broken leg that required a steel rod to be inserted. He also suffered broken ribs, a bruised lung and internal bleeding. But 2002 ended on a great note for Kevin and his wife Tammy, as they welcomed a new baby boy to the world on December 19th.

Gundaker will begin his 2003 season on February 10th at Volusia Speedway Park located in Barberville, FL at the U.M.P. Winternationals. Although the rest of the plans for the 2003 racing season are not definite, Gundaker will race full time primarily around the St. Louis area. Although doing some traveling to some bigger shows in 2003 is definitely a possibility.

With three brand new late models and three brand new Pro Power Engines, look for Gundaker to be a serious threat where ever he races. We will also see some new Gundaker faces behind the wheel in 2003. Look for Kevin's oldest son Sean to be behind the wheel of a dirt late model on a part time basis. We will also see Kevin's second oldest son Dane piloting a modified car part time. Of course you can't forget Gordy, who will be burning up the quarter midget circuit throughout the Midwest.

Re: Kevin Gundaker

Many fans in the Fort Leonard Wood Area !!!! Just spoke to Brad Willard a few weeks ago about Kevin. Hope to his cars @ Lebanon this season along with Terry Phillips. This would be quite interesting.
