Quincy Raceways will be hosting one of the biggest race nights of the 2009 season on Sunday September 6 featuring something for every race fan. How does 410 Winged Sprints, IMCA Late Models, UMP Modifieds, Mod Lite/Dwarfs and Hobby Stocks sound as all are on tap for the holiday weekend special event.

The Midwest All Star 410 Winged Sprints will be taking on the high banks of the “Broadway Bullring” for their second appearance of the 2009 season going for the $2000 first place money. Danny Smith holds the track record at Quincy Raceways set last fall in a Midwest All Star show at 11.555 seconds for a lap of over 93mph. Veteran Jim Moughan of Springfield, Illinois took his first ever Midwest All Star win earlier this season at Quincy by topping a stout field of twenty one entries. The top six in current All Star point standings are Jerrod Hull, A.J. Bruns, Alex Shanks, Miranda Throckmorton, Kody Kinser and Bill Rose.

The Deery Brothers Summer Series for IMCA Late Models is on tap as well with another $2000 to win fifty lap main event. Jeff Aikey is currently leading the points chase as this is written followed by Jason Frankel and Ray Guss Jr. Mark Burgtorf laid claim to the series win during the first appearance of the season earlier this year.

The Miller Lite UMP Modifieds will be racing for $500 to Win in their feature event. Justin Reed just claimed his first ever Quincy Raceways Track Championship by winning the 2009 points battle over Steven DeLonjay, Tony Dunker and Donovan Lodge. A large field of UMP Modifieds is expected to be in attendance.

The Tim’s Machine Shop Hobby Stocks will be racing for a $250 to Win payday. A good field of cars is expected as the rules have been opened up for this race only. All Hobby Stocks will be welcomed with any two barrel carburetor and street tires. Contact Doug Miller with any questions at 217-242-1190.

The final class to be racing will be the Mod Lite/Dwarf cars racing for $300 to Win and $75 to Start. The TUSA weight rules will be enforced.
