With 17 Super Late Models in the pits on Saturday Night at Lake Cumberland Speedway, Victor Lee took the fastest Qualifying lap with a 13:688 seconds around the 3/8 mile oval. Johnny Wheeler, who had 2 previous wins in a row at Lake Cumberland won the Pole Dash event and claimed the 25 lap $1,000 Late Model feature event. Wheeler went on to win in the Robert Earl owned #
44 race-car taking the A-Main win over a hard-charging Victor Lee, Scotty Earl, Larry Gray Jr., and Jeff Rawlings.

The Front-row starters of Wheeler and Lee brought the field down to the gree flag. On the original grid start a maylay on the front-stretch involving Doodle Farris and Sidney Sprague brought out the first yellow flag. Farris retired from the event after suffering a broken tie-rod. The field was re-aligned and was given the green again with another yellow coming out for Larry Gray Jr., suffering a flat tire. Gray re-joined the field and the field was sent away for the third try. Wheeler jumped to an early lead in the event with Lee in tow. On lap seven, the third and final yellow flag came out for Sidney Sprague coming to a dead stop in turn one. The field was sent away again for the restart with Wheeler remaining in control for the remainder of the 25 lap race and crossing the stripe to take his third feature event win of the season.

The Open Wheel Modified feature event saw Tommy Bailey, who was April 22nd's Battle of the Bluegrass Series winner, take his second win of the season in the M & T Sign Company sponsored mount over Kelly Warren, Don Adams, Victor Lee, and Dustin Linville. 21 Modifieds were on hand for the event.

The Super Dirt Stock Feature event saw different leaders throughout the main event as Ray Caskey jumped to the early lead but a fast moving Goble Bertram slipped up on Caskey to take the lead and Logan Preston, in the closing laps took the lead to take his first event win of the season. Preston of Berea, Kentucky took the Super Dirt Stock win over Goble Bertram, Travis Preston, Barton Williams, and Ray Caskey.

The Chevette feature event saw youngster Chase McWhorter of Kings Mountain, Kentucky race side-by-side with Mike Todd, last year's champion and McWhorter would go on to take the $200 win over Shane Irvin, Aaron Barnett, Steve Beck, and Terry Stockton.

Next Saturday May 13 will feature a $1,500 to win Late Model show, a $1,000 to win Open Wheel Modified Show, a $400 to win Super Dirt Stock feature, and a $300 to win Chevette show.
