Lake Ozark Speedway is proud to announce that the 2005 track champions were awarded their trophies, prize money, jackets, and contingency awards last Saturday night at the Lake Ozark Speedway awards banquet. Bryan Grimes from Slater, MO took top honors in the HyVee Winged Sprint Car Class. Fulton, Missouri’s Steve Payne was the Big Shot / Big Surf Modified champion. Troy White from Russellville, MO was the ABC Powder Coating Street Stock champion. Dave Buchman of Lake Ozark, MO brought home the Hendren Salvage Hobby Stock championship.
Rookie of the Year winners were Ricky Ryan (Sprint Car), Steve Beach (Modifieds), Vic Sanders (Street Stocks), and Ashlee Lancaster (Hobby Stocks).
54 drivers were sent home with season points fund money, trophies, and contingency awards. The biggest contingency winners were, Mark Knapp winning a Maxim Chassis Sprint Car Kit, and Jason Russell with a Dirt Works Modified chassis kit.
