Saturday night at Springfield Raceway the late models of the MARS series paid homage to local racing legend Larry Phillips with a entertaining race in his honor.
Fans in attendence saw a race for 75 laps with three different leaders, long green flag runs, leaders working lap traffic thru most of the race, one driver working his way from 18th to challenge for the lead only to drop out with 16 laps to go, and a repeat winner.
