I need help!!!! can any one tell me where there is a good late model race this sat nite........ thanks for the help....

Go to Eldora for the last UMP point race. Outside of that there is not Late Models running around the St. Louis area.

Bull Butter, we got LMs in Western MO !!!

Time for the some of the stl crowd to come out west. Make it a weekend trip or return the same night. The WDRL finale is Saturday night at Sedalia State Fair Speedway on the 1/2 mile. Last weekend at Lakeside it was announced that there should be 50 plus LMs for this event, Saturday at Lakeside there were 71. The UMP stl crowd may not be familiar with some of the drivers, which should include last Saturday night's WDRL vs. MLRA winner Terry Phillips, who is actually a MARS regular. Gary Stolba should be there. All the Kosiskis from Nebraska, NASCAR LM champ and current WDRL points leader Kyle Berck, MLRA regualars Alan Vaughn, Jason Bodenhammer and Al Purkey as well as the great traveler and former 2-time UMP champ, Gary Webb, state fair champ Chris Smyser and other area regulars such as David Turner, Essary, Foster, Lyle, and Meyer should also be there. Skip Fry, Ace Ihm and Brandon McCormick should be there as well. There were 71 LMs in the pits at Lakeside, largest show I saw all year including many UMP shows and 2 xTreme shows.

Hope a few of the stl LM fans can make the trip out, it should be worth it.

A couple of websites to check out to advance your knowledge of Western MO late models are...

The above link is to the Sedalia track and includes an article about this race.

Hopefully the weather holds out. Don't be a one track wonder, get out and explore what other tracks are in your general area, I have been to so many new tracks this year and it has been great nearly every time. There is good racing all around, you just have to be adventurous enough to get out there and find out.

What would really be cool if a few UMP guys tried to make the field, I'd be in Late Model heaven if they showed up!

Modifieds (IMCA Style) are the support class and should draw a big crowd as well.

Peace,
Sam
