lawnmower rules

okay i know there will be lots of people who are asking, but can someome get and post the rules for the lawnmowers? Them things were pretty fun to watch and looks like a BLAST!! to race one.
 
I talked to the guys last nite about getting some rules typed up. They will get them to me as soon as possible. I am not 100 % positive but I believe they will be back at least every other week if not weekly.Bob talked to them after the races and I left to have some White Castles before he was done talking to them. Some of the guys said they were not ready for a weekly show just yet. This group of racers brought the meaning of having FUN back into racing last nite.
 
We stayed and talked to them with Bobby. They will be back every other week. Vintage cars next week(july 20th), then the Lawnmowers will be back on the 27th and every two weeks after.

Their rules are pretty loose, because they don't want to scare off people who want to be involved. Right now they have divided their group into two classes, Semi stock and Modified. Alot of the guys are lowbuck and haven't been dumping a ton of money into their mowers, again they want the group to grow...and they want everyone to have fun!
 
Rules!!

Hello, This is John from Backwoods Racing. I race the blue 48 mower. Here is the rules as of now.
1. Blades must be removed.
2. A kill switch must be on mower.
3. No alchohol, 110 racing fuel is allowed.
4. Governor can be removed.
5. Must wear helmet with chin strap.
6. Must be a factory built mower.
7. Lawnmower engines only!!!

Everyone asks, how do they go so fast? Put a smaller pulley on the rear end. That will get you going faster. Then the rest is up to you. I won't give all the secrets!! See ya on the 27th, and every other friday.:D
 
Is there any rules on engine size? We have 2 mowers with different size engines. I'm guessing the semi class is a smaller engine and the modified class is a larger engine.(?) This is gonna be fun!!!:D
 
haha Mike i doubt i build one, a few friends of mine are talking about it, but u never know it would be a blast, so its possible.
 
Iam currently building a mower for SEMO Lawn Racers (www.semowracers.com), are there mowers legal to race in your classes? Do you guys have a schedule of races you guys do? ANY Info. about your club would be awesome!!!

more lawnmower racing rules

there is no limit on the size of the engines for the lawnmowers. and if you have a bigger engine dont mean you will race with the modified. we are racing at doe run raceway every other friday starting from yesterday, friday the 13th.
 
Thanks for the post on the rules . We went back to MCS to try for # 100 again and came home a bridesmaid once again. Maybe on the 27th I will talk to the 12 oz or the 62 and see if I can rent their mower for the night to try for our goal. Now wouldn't that be a sight to see and a way to cap off my racing career.........LOL

Thanks.. The only reason I let him have them is it adds alittle fuel for when we race on Saturday..LOL:eek::D White Castles do wonders on fuel mileage....:D:D
 
I havent been allowed back

Last time I went to Farmington I wanted to stop in and see you guys at White Castle, but my other half said no. I dont know if she was more embaraased by me, or if Shannon put the icing in his shorts when we all were walking outside lmao. In fact come to think of it, aint been to White Castle since.....anywhere......
 
Friday & Saturday Nites....

Butch any time you want to drop by... You know where we will usually be on weekends after the races....LOL:eek::eek::D
