Lebanon,Mo.-Track owner Harold Armstrong has announced that the Lebanon Midway Speedway will be hosting a special Sat Night Racing Card on Aug.28 featuring an Enduro Race along with about 3 other classes.
The Enduro Races which were very popular about 2 seasons ago,feature pure stock cars with a high purse to the winner.
"This was fun to have 2 seasons ago,and I have had many calls concerning this event since I opened up the track.We are looking to pay the winner 2,000.The entry fee will be 50 per car on this Enduro Event.We also will be featuring a good paying event for the Modifieds,FactoryStocks and Winged Sprint Cars.This is tentative at this time,but I'm looking to pay 700 to win the Modifeds with a good payoff in the middle and end of the field,450 to win FactoryStocks with a similiar format and about 350 to win the Winged SprintCars but paying them decent in the middle and backend also.It takes all the drivers to make the race interesting for the fans.We would go ahead and run out regular Friday Night show(LateModels, Modifieds, Factories, superStocks, Bombers, Mini-stocks) except for the Sprints as they would be racing on Sat Night instead.
The Enduro race will be either 100 or 150 laps around and when we start taking entries,that will be there starting position for the event along with the car number.All Enduro Cars will need to provide there own scorer for that race.The Modifieds,and Factories have really been putting on some Great racing and I want to reward them this way along with the Sprints-a lot of local drivers run from this area and alot of cars from the Sedalia area in this class also.
