Lebanon,Mo-The biggest payout and Modified event in the history of Southwest Missouri will take place this coming weekend on Sept 16-17 as Modified Madness will take palce on the clay oval with 6,000 going to the winner on Sat Sept 17th.A different type of qualifying format is set for this event as Friday Night all cars will draw for heat race positions.Each heat winner will advance to the Sat Night 50 lapper and later that evening will run a pole dash to determine the front part of the field.2nd and 3rd place finishers from each heat will then run a special qualifying race to help finish out the 14 cars that will lock in on Friday Night.Sat Night redraws for heats and each heat winner makes the feature event.A special last chance qualifying race will also be ran to fill out the remaining field.24 cars will qualify from the 2 day event.Jamie Ragland has the 25th starting spot slated and can move forward by using the slogan "You win your in".A final spot will be held for the highest points car in the Midway Final standings that hasn't made the show yet.
"This is designed for the Modified racer who runs weekly on the local level.Most track pay 600 to win,this event pays 600 to start from 17-26th spots and 10th place is worth 1000."Quoted announcer Ron Williams.Modifieds have come along way from the early days and are becoming so popular with the crowds.We have looked at different formats and our slogan for this race at the Midway is You Win Your In.Interest has been expressed and shown by drivers such as Johhny Fennawald,Matt"The Cat"Johnson.Bob Test,Jason Russell,Shannon Frank,Steve Muilenburg,Dean Willie, and many other.Bone,Iowa was the hotspot for mod racing this last weekend,this coming weekend we hope the Midway Came come close to that.
