Lebanon,Mo.-The LebanonMidwaySpeedway held its 1st ever season ending Banquet with an estimated 300 people in attendance.
The Top 10 in each class were given beautiful plaques and Trophies with each champion also recieving a New Hoosier Racing Jacket and Sunoco Racing Fuels Cap also.
Those champions were Tony Jackson Jr of Lebanon in the SuperStocks,Jamie Ragland of Lebanon in the Modifieds,Eric Todd of Falcon in the WingedSprints,Randy Berry of Lebanon in the FactoryStocks,Dale Rodden of Lebanon in the Bombers, and Dave Williams of Springfield in the Mini-Stocks.
Awards were also given to the Rookies of the year as Bill Scharr of St Roberts took home the SuperStock honor,Brian Brown of Lebanon grabbed the Modified Trophy,Justin Stoufer of Camdenton took home the FactoryStock Rookie,Dustin Arnall of Hartville in the WingedSprints,Bill Roberts of Strafford in the Bombers and Chuck Fers of Fair Grove in the Mini-Stocks.
Best Appearing car awards went to Scharr in the SuperStocks,Tony Jackson Jr of Lebanon in the Modifieds,Mike Larson of Eldon in the WingedSprints,Todd Cook of Rolla in the FactoryStocks,Chad Cromer of Lebanon in the Bombers, and Dave Williams in the Mini-Stocks.
Hard-luck award winners were Jody Shaltz of Camdenton in the SuperStocks,Brian Brown in the Modifieds,Chad Johnson of Neosho in the WingedSprints,Glen Dismang of Lebanon in the FactoryStocks,Jennifer Crouch of Lebanon in the Bombers, and Ike Moore of Hartville in the Mini-Stocks.
The final award to be presented was the Sportsmanship Award in an emotional announcement as veteran J.C.Newell of Camdenton recieved a standing ovation from the entire crowd as he went to accept this honor.
An Announcement that the 2nd Modified Madness will help start the season at the Midway in April again paying 6000 to win,600 to start and also a FactoryStock 2 day event will also be held in April as this is expected to pay 5000 to win and 500 to start.
Midway will be staying with its regular Friday Night Racing program in 2006 with the points battles starting either late April or early May.There will also be a few Sat Night Special Shootout events in 2006.
Classes running regular on the Midway in 2006 will be the Fastrak Crate LateModels,SuperStocks,Modifieds,Winged Sprints,FactoryStocks, and the always popular Bombers.
Special mentions went to Heartland Antique Mall,Knife Country USA,Lebanon Coca-Cola,Laclede Heating and Air,A&C Construction in Lebanon,Hoosier Tire,Sunoco Racing Fuels,Extreme Thunder Remote Cars as Special sponsors.
