Opening Day 2005 for Lincoln, Illinois

Lincoln, Ill. (Apr. 14) – With the rigors of track construction an afterthought, Lincoln Speedway is full speed ahead for 2005. The Sunday season opener will feature Outlaw Wingless Sprint Cars in their first of eleven scheduled appearances at the Logan County Fairgrounds ¼-mile oval. The $700 to win, $100 to start main event will headline the show with UMP Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Wild Things also on the card. Gates officially open at 2pm with Practice slated for 4pm. The first Qualifying Heat Race will hit the track at 5pm sharp. Grandstand General Admission is just $10, while children 10 and under will be admitted free with a paid adult.
