Waynesboro, Virginia (10/09/17) – Logan Roberson made two trips to Victory Lane over the weekend in his Wynbridge Inc. #17 BTS Towing Service/ Rocketman Racing/ XR1 Rocket Chassis Late Model.
The wins increased his 2017 tally to 16.
“The past month or so has been an up-and-down time for our team, but this weekend went flawlessly,” Roberson noted. “It’s so easy to let bad luck get you down, but our team never gives up and it showed this weekend. Both of this weekend’s wins came in exciting fashion, so that really gets me pumped for the final events of the season. Thanks to everyone who supports my racing program. It’s because of them that we now have 16 wins this year.”
On Friday night Logan Roberson made the trip to 311 Motor Speedway (Pine Hall, North Carolina) for the $1,500-to-win Crate Late Model special. After starting the night with the fastest time in qualifying, Roberson made a thrilling last-lap pass in the final corner of the A-Main to capture his 15[sup]th[/sup] win of the season over Corey Almond, Gary Mabe, Justin Hudspeth, and Spencer Apple.
The following night brought Roberson to Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tennessee), where he was competing in a field of 24 Crate Late Models. Laying down the seventh-fastest lap in time trials, Logan earned the seventh-starting position for the feature.
Wheeling his way into a podium spot early, Logan Roberson made the pass for the lead on lap 38 and held off the field in the remaining 2 circuits, notching his second-straight win and 16th on the season. Pocketing another $1,500 payday, Logan Roberson topped Mack McCarter, Josh Henry, Ross White, and Vic Hill at the finish line.
