Wheatland, MO (May 26th, 2007)-Despite a brief rain delay and threatening skies all around, fans at the Lucas Oil Speedway were treated to a spine-tingling night of dirt track racing at the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO on Saturday, May 26th. The winners list included Rylan Long in the Miller Lite Late Models, Rex Merritt in the Pitts Homes A-Modifieds, Justin Stoufer in the TCI Transmission Factory Stocks, and Jacob Everts in the growing Hobby Stock Class.
The Miller Lite Late Models would see Rylan Long make a clean sweep of the night winning his heat race and winning the feature from his front row starting position. Kevin Kaiser challenged Long throughout the late stages of the race for the win but would settle for second. J.D. Hubert would hold on for third with Jeff Schlup advancing from his 11th starting position to take the fourth spot. Clever, Missouri's Matt Menzie completed the top 5. Harlen Kennedy, Toby Ott, Donnie Gemes, R.D. Peterson, and Melvin Baxter finished in 6th-10th.
Veteran Rex Merritt would also make it a clean sweep on the night in the Pitt's Homes A-Modifieds by winning his heat and taking the feature win, although it wasn't easy as Tracy Wolf rode his back bumper the entire race ultimately coming home in second spot. Rusty Dukes, Jeff Cutshaw, and Urbana's Scotty Allen rounded out the Top 5. David Gemes, Richard Turner, Luke Feeback, John Fellers, and Terry Kirk came home 6th-10th.
The TCI Transmission Factory Stocks were led to the checkered flag by Camdenton's Justin Stoufer in the black 87 car. Bob Gustin fought a spirited battle for the win and came home in second with James Flood, Keith Webster, and Troy Reasoner Jr. taking the third through fifth spots. Big Al Thompson, Eddie Barnes, Sheldon Stoufer, Michael Cooney, and Timothy Riffle were 6th-10th respectively.
The Hobby Stock feature would see an Evert's family stranglehold on the Top 5 as Jacob came home the victor with Tony Everts finishing second and Danny Everts in fourth. LaMonte, Missouri's Michael Schouten broke up the Everts party by finishing in third. Allen Guthrie came home in 5th. The top 10 would include Adam Belt, Colson Kirk, Chris Williams, Mike Schrader, and Michael McGillivray.

The month of June will wrap up on June 30th with Coca-Cola Night at the Races featuring the ASCS Winged Sprint Cars, Miller Lite ULMA Late Models, and the 305 Sprints.
