CORONA, CA (March 27, 2008) -The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series ventures into the Peachtree State of Georgia for three events starting on Thursday Night, April 3rd at the Swainsboro Raceway, Friday, April 4th at Screven Motor Speedway and Saturday Night, April 5th at the Golden Isles Speedway. The event at Golden Isles will be taped by SPEED Channel and will be shown on a date and time to be announced in the future.

It will be the first ever visits for the nation's premier touring series to Swainsboro and Screven and the visit to Golden Isles will mark the second time coming to the home of the "Super Bowl of Racing" as the first visit there in 2006 resulted in a rain out as the drivers were taking qualification attempts so officially there has never been a recorded event for the series at the Frankie Lloyd owned speedplant.

"We are extremely excited to be coming to these fine facilities," stated Lucas Oil Late Model Series Director, Ritchie Lewis. "These promoters have worked real hard improving their race tracks and facilities and everyone knows the type of shows the Lucas Oil Series puts on so we are anticipating a great turnout of drivers and fans all three nights."

One driver very familiar with all three tracks is 2000 Show-Me 100 Winner, Ray Cook of Brasstown, NC who is inside the top twelve of the series point's standings. Even though Cook has turned a lot of laps at all three stops the first weekend in April he points out there have been changes at all three tracks. "I haven't been to Swainsboro since they shortened it, we went there for a Southern All-Star race there two years ago and I understand they have done a lot of work in shortening the track so it should relate to better racing for the fans and drivers, I am looking to get back there to race," said Cook.

"At Screven "Redd" Griffin has done a tremendous job in trying to make it the best track in South Georgia, he's added some banking in turns one and two, what's interesting about Screven is when the Lucas Oil cars are racing they have a drag strip that races simultaneously, so that's kind of neat. As far as Golden Isles I am looking forward to getting back there as well, I didn't get to run there back in January for the Super Bowl of Racing because I didn't have everything together at that time, but from what I have heard the racing is so much better there than in the past, I think the fans are in for a great weekend of racing in Georgia."

The series trip to Georgia featuring the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will also be events that 20 drivers will be eligible for the "Jasper Engines Road to Wheatland bonus monies. This is an incentive program that will pay the top ten drivers in the 2008 Championship Points an extra $600 each with perfect attendance throughout 2008. The "Jasper Engines Road to Wheatland" Program will also pay an additional $600 to each of the ten highest points drivers from the final 2007 Championship Points standings that follow the Road to Wheatland with perfect attendance but are not in the current top ten in points. The SuperClean "Diamond Nationals" at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO is slated for May 9th and 10th and will pay $40,000 to win this year.

Swainsboro Raceway is located 1.7 miles north of U.S. 80 on State Road 56 in Swainsboro, GA. For more information on the $7,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event at the Paul Purvis owned facility you can visit www.swainsbororaceway.com.
