Lucas Oil Products And The 2004 Xtreme DirtCar Championship Car To Be On Display At The Food Lion AutoFair

Jacksonville, FL (April 4, 2005)- Lucas Oil will be present as an automotive vendor at the Food Lion AutoFair at Lowes Motor Speedway in Concord NC April 7-10th. The Food Lion AutoFair is the nation's largest automotive extravaganza. The four-day event includes a car show featuring various makes and models from more than 50 clubs, thousands of parts and memorabilia vendors, automotive manufacturers and a collector car auction. A car corral, located on the 1.5-mile superspeedway, will feature nearly 2,000 vehicles of all makes and models that are available for sale or trade.

A Lucas Oil booth will be located in the Manufacturer's Midway in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup garage and its surrounding parking areas will be filled with manufacturers and distributors of aftermarket parts and accessories. Lucas Oil is the number one line of heavy duty lubricants and additives in the automotive and truck stop industries. A premium line of oils, greases and problem solving additives has helped to firmly establish Lucas Oil as a prominent figure in these markets.

Not only will Lucas Oil products be available for purchase and display over the four-day event, but the 2004 Xtreme DirtCar Series Championship car will also be on display inside of the Lucas Oil Booth. The Lucas Oil Dunn-Benson Ford Car with driver Earl Pearson Jr. won the 2004 Xtreme DirtCar Series National Championship with an impressive year of performances using Lucas Oil products throughout the racecar.

“We felt like this car show in conjunction with our Lucas Oil NARA DirtCar series event at the Lowes Dirt track on April 9th would be a great opportunity to promote our product line to a huge market in the automotive industry. With the tremendous success we had with Earl Pearson Jr. in 2004 we wanted to display his racecar in our booth for this huge four-day event. Earl is a great driver and competitor and we are excited to be his primary sponsor again for 2005” stated Bob Patison, Vice President of Lucas Oil.

Lucas Oil has long been directly involved in the American racing industry through multiple vehicle sponsorships and racing event promotions, at all levels. Seeing a need for better lubricants in this industry, the Lucas people went to work again. In conjunction with the Food Lion Auto Fair, the Lucas Oil NARA Dirt Car series will be running Saturday night April 9th. Earl Pearson Jr. and the Lucas Oil Dunn-Benson Ford Motorsports team will be competing at the Lowes Dirt Track where he holds the track record and won an event in 2004. The Lucas Oil Dunn-Benson Ford team is based in nearby Dunn NC and will be a fan favorite and considered one of the top touring dirt late model race teams in the country. Just this past month Earl Pearson Jr. was awarded the 2004-RPM News Driver of the Year award by the media based on his 2004 National Championship and accomplishments on and off the track in 2004.

Automotive enthusiasts and race fans that attend the Food Lion AutoFair can find the Lucas Oil booth and the Lucas Oil Dunn-Benson Ford Racecar at booth 432 all four days of the show. In addition Lucas Oil will have a display at the Lowes Dirt Track on Saturday with Earl Pearson Jr. Merchandise and Lucas Oil products available to purchase. For Race fans attending the Lucas Oil NARA DirtCar Series event Saturday nigh the 2004 Xtreme DirtCar Series Champion will be at the Lucas Oil booth to greet fans and sign autographs on Saturday.

The April 7-10 Food Lion AutoFair hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets for Food Lion AutoFair can be purchased at the gates on event days. Admission is $10 per day for adults with children ages 12 and under admitted free when accompanied by an adult. The Pit Pass Cabarrus Super Nationals, two of the nation's premier dirt-track sanctioning bodies will come together to present a late model stock car doubleheader on Friday and Saturday nights, April 8-9, at The Dirt Track @ Lowe's Motor Speedway. The Friday night card is part of the Southern All Stars East Tour while the Saturday night event is sanctioned by the Lucas Oil NARA DirtCar Series.
