ABBOTT, Texas (Feb. 25) – A new three-year agreement with Mach-1 Racing guarantees a national point fund for IMCA Sport Compact drivers through the 2013 season.
The Abbott, Texas, company has signed on to provide a portion of the $1,000 point fund paid to top 10 drivers in final national standings in each season covered by the contract. All drivers will again be required to display two Mach-1 decals on their race car to be eligible for point fund shares.
Mach-1 originally offered support and consulting services to race teams and tracks before becoming an IMCA sponsorship partner in 2009. Now building Sport Compacts, Mach-1 will continue offering marketing, sponsor¬ship and computerization assis¬tance, as well as photographic and vinyl graphic services.
The company website is www.mach-1r.net. More information is also available by calling 254 826-5152.
Mach-1 Racing Solutions is a sister company to Mach-1 Systems & Solutions, Inc., a computer and website consult¬ing company also owned and founded by Gary Mach.
"Mach-1 has done a lot to prove their dedication to this division in the first two years of our relationship and they requested to make the next agreement a multi-year deal,” said IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “Exciting things are happening with our Sport Compacts and Mach-1 will be a big part of that over the course of the next three seasons."
Nineteen tracks in seven states have returned contracts to run the sanctioned class this year.
