Gatlinburg, Tennessee (09/19/17) – Mack McCarter returned to winning form over the weekend in his McCarter Brothers Racing #51 Parkway Liquor Store/ CVR Late Model. The 23-year-old racer streaked to the victory at Volunteer Speedway.
On Saturday night Mack McCarter visited Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, Tennessee) as he piloted the McCarter Lumber Company #51 Crate Late Model into battle.
Qualifying second fastest in a field of 17 Crate Late Models, McCarter earned the second-starting position for the feature. Jumping into the lead on lap 4, Mack held off a hard-charging Ross White in the closing laps to capture his first win of the season. White, Josh Henry, Kyle Courtney, and Tim Byrd completed the Top-5 finishers.
“It felt great to return to Victory Lane,” Mack McCarter said. “We haven’t raced just a ton this year, but when we have I feel like we’ve been pretty good. Hopefully this momentum will carry into the upcoming weekend at East Alabama Motor Speedway.”

The upcoming weekend September 22-24 will see McCarter Racing invading East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Alabama) to compete in the 45[sup]th[/sup] annual Alabama State Championships. The team will compete in the $5,000-to-win Crate Late Model events as well as Saturday’s $2,500-to-win Super Late Model program and Sunday’s $4,500-to-win Super Late Model event.
