Macon Speedway is also gearing up for its third year opening under the new ownership team of Nascar Stars; Tony Stewart, Ken Schrader, Kenny Wallace and Midwest Promoter Bob Sargent. The track will kick off the season on April 4, 2009 with the Second Annual Spring Fling. Macon Speedway will play host to five U.M.P. sanctioned divisions again this year, which will include U.M.P Late Models, U.M.P. Modifieds, U.M.P. Sportsman, U.M.P. Street Stocks and U.M.P. Pro Hornets and we will also bring back the popular Amateur Hornet Division. Get ready for another action packed thrilling season at Macon Speedway!
