Major LM Races Overlap Each Other!!!

"Greetings & Salutations"
Here's yet a couple more wonderfully thought out and scheduled major Late Model events...NOT!

Stacker 2 Xtreme Nationals at Knoxville, IA will be held on the 14th, 15th and 16th of October. 6k to win on the 14th and 15th, 35k to win on the 16th.

while at the same time...

The Dirt Track World Championships (DTWC) in Bardstown, KY, will be held on the 16th and 17th of October. 60k to win the big one.

Bummer for the Iowa show fans, I thought we may see some of the Stl-area guys come up for that one, Kentucky's a lot closer so it doesn't look too good for those prospects. The tire rules for this race have been adjusted to let the WISSOTA guys come in and be competitive, I would say the car count should be huge for this show, as I'm sure it will for the DTWC as well. The only good thing going, none of the other series have races scheduled so this will help the cause for both races.

Any Stl-area fans comin' out west for the X races?!?

You got me Layne, that stuffs been going on all year, and as far back as I can remember. I wish all of the main players in the late model promoting world/sanctioning world would get this stuff worked out at the beginning of the year. There has been several purposely scheduled races against other races this year. I would love to go to the DTWC, but I'm closer to K'ville so I'm torn.

I'd give my left nut to see either! But even if I could get in without having to give up such a treasured item I won't be going. Stupid money! Maybe one of these days I'll knock over a bank and have more money to spend. LOL!

Expect the DTWC to garner most of the big drivers. Why Knoxville scheduled against such a big race is beyond me, but most drivers have the DTWC on their schedule.

It appears that maybe the DTWC has gotten the WoO LMS to force their drivers into going. It also appears that Moyer and some others were planning on going to Knoxville. Because Moyer is origionally from Des Moines, IA (as you might tell by his sponsers... Karl Moyer Chevrolet, J&J Steel, Car City (his dad's used car thing I believe)) he wanted to run at Knoxville. It should seal the deal on Moyer not being with the WoO guys next year. Considering his reluctance to tour with Hav-A-Tampa/UDTRA exclusevly in the past (because the far east races lost him money) I was surprised he signed the contract with them in the first place.
