With the end of the point season at the Malden Speedway, track champions were crowned in each division. Todd Hall put an exclamation point on his championship by winning his fifth feature of the year. Ronnie Vernon took the championship in Modified with an 8th place finish in the feature. In the closest race of the year, the Hobby Stocks, Claudie Cook used a fourth place finish to edge Doug Moore by 9 points. Glenn Griffin won the feature.

In Street Stocks, Johnny Houart won the feature race. Aaron Darby had a
commanding lead in the point's race and coasted to the title. Chris Kelly
and Brandon Moore won the Cruiser feature and teamed with Gene Kelly won the season title also.

In the Late Model feature, Todd Hall led from green to checkered to take the win. Jeff Walston hounded him mid race through four caution restarts, but could never make the pass. Allan Rettig, who challenged early, settled for third place. Jeff Moss won a fourth place duel with Scott Tracer to round out the top five. Rettig and Hall won the heat races.

Robby Arnold opened with the lead and pulled away from another strong Modified Field at the Malden Speedway. Arnold pushed out to a three second lead before the race's only caution brought him back to the pack. Shawn Haynes was easily the best of the rest as he distanced third place. That position was a good struggle the whole way with Jared Wagster winning over Jeff Greene and Robert Powers. Arnold, Haynes, and Powers won the heat races.

Glenn Griffin took the Hobby Stock feature winning a desperate side-by-side duel with Scott Tracer. The pair swapped positions several times with Tracer leading as late as lap 13 before Griffin took over for good. Claudie Cook was looking for a hole to dive through and gave up third place as Chuck Tilley sliced through on the final lap. Jason Pennington rounded out the top five. Griffin and Tracer won the heat races.

The season standings came down to the final race between Cook and Doug Moore, whoever finished ahead of the other in the final race would take the championship as only one point separated them when the race began. Cook's fourth place finish over Moore's seventh place finish was enough for another track championship for Cook.

Johnny Houart inherited the lead in the Street Stock feature when pole sitter and early leader Jeff Beeson left the track with mechanical problems on lap 8. Houart made the most of his good fortune and won a battle on the restart with Paul Reeder and took the checkered flag. Kyle Berry made a very impressive run. His car failed to make the heat race, so he started at the back of the pack and moved through a tough field to take third. Greg Casey and Mike Elliot rounded out the top five. Beeson and Jacob Black were the heat winners.
