It's only a couple more weeks before 2003 kicks off for the O'Reilly MLRA and the O'Reilly NCRA. Several new activities are being planned for the fans of the touring sport to get them even closer involved. With the first race weekend beginning at the Mid-America Motor Speedway in S. Coffeyville, Oklahoma March 20, 21, and 22nd, it will be busy with 3 nights of racing action plus a full day of things to do on the Saturday of the event.
It all begins Saturday Morning with a Charity Golf Tournament for the Coffeyville Boy's and Girl's Club, it is scheduled at 9:00 a.m. at the Hillcrest Municipal Golf Course in Coffeyville, Ks., (RR 4) The cost will be $35.00 per person, that does include 9 holes and cart rental. The format will assign at least 1 O'Reilly Driver per team. It will be a scramble style tournament, with prizes being awarded to the best placing team. Several Drivers share the same off time enjoyment, and will be a part of the Charity event along with a few of the Officials. Event Registration will be Friday night at the Speedway. Carts are limited, So Registration is required with payment at sign -up.
>From 11:00 - 1:30 at O'Reillys Auto Parts on 11th street, will be a collection of some of the cars from the "March Madness" event along with the Drivers and, O'Reilly MLRA and O'Reilly NCRA Officials to answer questions about the cars and the series. The Drivers of the O'Reilly MLRA and NCRA rely on the same parts form the "Parts Professional's" to keep them on the road across the Midwest. Be sure and stop in and visit with the "Men and Their Machines", at you're local O'Reilly Auto Parts store.
Then scheduled from 4:00p.m. to 4:30p.m. at the track will be "Awsome Autographs" for the Kids, as the kids will have their oppertunity to meet the "Thunder Tour 2003" Drivers face to face. learning more about the sport of Auto Racing, and getting their autographs signed by the Late Model Drivers.
