MCS Results????????

Concerning the poor car counts at MCS, I recall Godfrey had the same problem with single-digit car counts in the mid 90s. When will UMP see the inherent problem with guys getting the same number of points whether 7 or 27 cars show up? Granted, no one want's Nascar's byzantine CPI index that no one understands. But couldn't there be a MINIMUM AVERAGE CAR COUNT established; say, if at the end of the season after THROWING OUT the worst 2 or 3 nights--because, hey, every track has an OCCASIONAL off night-- a track doesn't average, say, a dozen or more LMs they be put on some sort of PROBATION for the next season. If next season the car counts don't improve, the sanction could be DROPPED.

how do you know it was a bad car count,or for that matter they are not doing something right know ,a feww tracks would consider 30 cars a bad count oakshade in ohio gets 60

Dirthound, tracks like Oakshade amount to such a statistical outlier in this discussion that to even cite them is INVOKING A RED HERRING. I think most folks will agree to the premise that if a track doesn't get enough LMs to fill 2 heats, and/or if said heats are so thin(4-5 cars) that more cars(6) start the dash, that is a BAD CAR COUNT.

MCS Winners

I don't have all the info, but here is the basics:

LM's: 1st: Brian Collins (9 cars)

A-Mods: 1st: Rusty Griffaw (19 cars)

B-Mods: 1st: Jared Kneemiller (27 cars)

Street Stocks: 1st: James Brock (12 cars)

That is about all I can remember at this time...

The track was rough, quite a few wrecks (mainly people getting up on the guard rail) one car had a pretty nasty flip on the track and then over the guard rail.
