(GLASGOW, KENTUCKY) Michael England and the Michael England Racing team invaded the K-C Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio on October 19-20 for the 27th Annual ‘Dirt Track World Championship.’ Michael timed in thirty-fourth fastest of the 117 entrants during qualifying on Friday night, October 19 and later ran third in his competitive heat race. The Glasgow, Kentucky native then rolled off from the inside of the eighth row for the $50,000 to win feature event on Saturday evening, October 20.
The driver known as the “Slick Rock Express” made a hard charge through the stout field in the first half of the prestigious event and was solidly inside of the top ten. However, a late race spin caused Michael to restart at the tail end of the lead-lap cars.
