Madison, IL - Gateway International Raceway announced today that 2-time Daytona 500 winner and
one of the top personalities in motorsports -- Michael Waltrip -- will run in the Charter 250 NASCAR
Busch race on Saturday night, May 8, 2004.

During his 16-year career Waltrip has been a star on the Nextel Cup scene, winning four times including
NASCAR's crown jewel the Daytona 500 in 2001 and 2003. In addition, he has been a 10-time winner
in the NASCAR Busch series. Waltrip has won the Bud Pole at 15 Busch events, and last year finished
with a career-best thirteen Top-10 finishes, eight of which were in the Top-5.

"When we switched our Busch Race to May, and an off -Cup weekend, we had hopes of attracting some
big name Cup drivers, but this year's field for the Charter 250 is beyond our wildest imagination," said
Matt Strelo, Vice President & General Manager at Gateway. Strelo added, "with the addition of
Michael Waltrip to the list that already included Greg Biffle, Kasey Kahne, Johnny Sauter, Johnny
Benson, local favorites Kenny and Mike Wallace as well as the rest of the top drivers in the NASCAR
Busch Series - this is the most star-studded field of NASCAR talent to ever come to Gateway."

"It has always been my desire to race all of the tracks on NASCAR's top divisions and Gateway is one
track I have never had the privilege to race," said Michael Waltrip. "I am honored to bring the entire
Aaron's Dream Machine team to St. Louis as I know it is a great town to visit and has a great tradition
for racing with a growing fan base."

The 2003 Charter Pipeline 250 Race at Gateway finished in dramatic fashion as Scott Riggs edged out
Mike Bliss in the final lap. This year's race should be another exciting event with the impressive group
of drivers. The green-flag will drop at 7:00 PM and be followed by a spectacular fireworks show and
concert by star country music group Diamond Rio.
