Mid America Racing Series (M.A.R.S.) Doubles Up In Missouri This Weekend

Batesville, Arkansas (May 1, 2007) – The Mid America Racing Series (M.A.R.S.) will return to action this Saturday and Sunday night with a double header in the Show Me State.

M.A.R.S. kicked off the 2007 season a few weeks ago at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri, and Jack Sullivan came away with the feature win over a field of very tough competitors. Sullivan, who is from Greenbriar, Arkansas, will lead a talented field of competitors into battling this weekend with events at I-44 Speedway and Monett Speedway.

Other drivers, who are expected to possibly be in action this weekend include 2006 M.A.R.S. Champion, Bill Frye (Arkansas), Will Vaught (Missouri), Steve Rushin (Missouri), Joey Mack (Missouri), Billy James (Missouri), Brandon McCormick (Missouri), Jeremy Payne (Missouri), John Anderson (Nebraska) and many more.

I-44 Speedway will host the M.A.R.S. tour on Saturday, May 5th with a $3,000 to win/$500 to start, 40 lap feature event. Gates open at 4:30 pm with hot laps at 6:45 pm; and racing action at 7:30PM. I-44 Speedway is located on Interstate 44 at exit 135. Grandstand admission $17 for Adults, $5 for Juniors, and kids 12 and under are free. Wild side admission is $20.

On Sunday, May 6th, the M.A.R.S. competitors will head to Monett Speedway in Monett, Missouri for another $3,000 to win/$500 to start, 40 lap event. Monett Speedway is located in Monett, Missouri on Highway 60 North of the Wal-Mart Super Center . Gates open at 5:00 with hotlaps at 7:00 and racing action at 7:30. Adult grandstand tickets are $15 with kids 13-15 years of age $5, and 12 and under free. Pit passes are $30.
