Mike Hammerle awarded Ken Schrader REAL RACER AWARD

Congratulations Mike and Linda! Mike finished his 46th consecutive season of racing in 2016 (having started in 1971). He's raced at almost 70 different tracks in 12 states and won 30 championships.

Mike is just one reason "If you love racing, St. Louis is the place to be!". We ("St. Louis") are very fortunate to be blessed with the quantity and quality of racing and racers.

Thanks Mike for the inspiration, memories and 46 years of fun at the races! Here's to 46 more.
 
I remember when I first started coming to i-55 they were running the long nose modifieds Dixon, Gundaker, and Mike Hamerle just to name a few truly a true real racer.congratulations on this Award now go on and get in the Hall of fame
 
congrats my friend-- you earned it - raced many a lap with mike- when I got married in 80 he was there -
 
was amazing to see it in person. Congrats Mike
