JUNCTION CITY, KENTUCKY (April 18, 2014) - Mike Marlar of Winfield, Tenn. took the lead away from Dustin Linville on lap nine to go on to claim his second-career Old Man's Garage Spring Nationals Series by Schaeffer's Oil and the $4,000 payday at Ponderosa Speedway on Friday Night April 18th. Marlar would drive the Ronnie Delk owned and sponsored Rocket Chassis with a Cornett Racing Engine power-plant to the victory. Marlar is now the only repeat winner on the series since the inception in 2013.

Linville, the FK Rod Ends Quick Qualifier along with Marlar would bring the field of 23 to life for the start of the 40-lap main and Linville would lead the opening eight laps. Marlar would make his move coming off turn four on the ninth circuit to go on and hold off Eric Wells, Gregg Satterlee, Linville and Billy Ogle Jr. for the event win.

A total of four cautions slowed the main event. The first yellow would fly on lap one as David Payne and Tommy Bailey both spun in turn two. The next yellow on lap 21 would be for Ray McElhiney slowing in turn two. The next yellow would be for an inadvertent yellow from the flagman on the restart of the 21st circuit. The last yellow flag would come for Brad Neat spinning on the 32nd lap.

The Series will be back in action Saturday Night April 19th at Florence Speedway in Union, KY for Round # 7 of the season paying $5,000 to win.
