(WINFIELD, TENNESSEE) The Stephens Motorsports team, with Mike Marlar behind the wheel of their #34 Rayburn / Estes machine, was in action in a pair of high-profile Dirt Late Model events in the Commonwealth of Kentucky over the weekend. The legendary Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky kicked things off on Friday night, August 24 with a $5,000 to win O'Reilly NARA Battle of the Bluegrass Dirtcar Series show. Mike won his heat race at Ponderosa and started up front in the 50-lap A-Main. After pitting for softer tires on lap nine, the "Winfield Warrior" put on a show for the fans in attendance. Mike blasted his way back through the field to claim his seventh feature win of the 2007 racing season ahead of Scott James, Victor Lee, Tim Tungate, and Jason Keltner.

The following night took the #34 team to the Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, Kentucky for the $10,000 to win 'Bluegrass Classic.' Mike laid down a fast lap in Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying and later won his competitive heat race. The Winfield, Tennessee native then rolled off from the second row for the 60-lap feature event, which was taped by the cameras of the SPEED Channel. Mike was battling for the lead in the early stages of the race before being stricken with a flat Hoosier tire. After pitting for new rubber, Mike rallied to claim a respectable eighth place performance.
