Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) in Warrensburg will show appreciation to military members with a special discount on admission tickets on Saturday night for the weekly race program. All Active Duty, Guard, Reserve and Retired military members will receive a grandstand admission ticket for just $5 with a valid ID. Pit gates open at 5 with hot-laps beginning at 7 and racing getting underway at 7:30. The Mighty Modifieds, ULMA Late Models, Street Stocks and B- Modifieds will be competing for the coveted checkered flag and for valuable race points towards the championship at CMS.

The race for the point’s lead continues with some heated battles in several divisions. Joe Walker holds a slim margin over Terry Schultz and Jim Moody with Aaron Marrant, Tim Karrick, Dave Meyer and Kyle Westerhold closing the gap in the “Mighty” Modified class. The ULMA Late Model division is another tight race with Brett Rollert up by just 42 points over Steven Clancy with Bob King quickly moving up the ranks. The Street Stocks are always competitive with Brian Johnson leading consistent finishers Tammy Korff, Herb Danner and Chad Eickleberry. The B-Modifieds are led by Scotty Martin with 10 feature wins, but Michael Mullins, Brian Ziegler and Ethan Isaacs continue to stay close with numerous top 5 finishes.

On August 4th the excitement continues with the SMRS Midgets returning to CMS for special races along with the complete 4 class regular program. Late Model drivers are also reminded they have just two more Saturday races to tune up for the August 11, ULMA Late Model Special on Kids Night at the Races. All drivers are reminded the CMS car specification rules meeting will be held on August 18th at 4PM at the track.
