Officials of Missouri's State Fair Speedway announced on Wednesday a
change to the lineup for the remainder of the 2004 Miller Lite
Summer Shootout Series. This Friday, July 9, will be the final week
that the Late Models will be in action at the track on a weekly
basis. "We really regret having to make the change, but
unfortunately things just were not working as we had hoped," stated
Susan Walls when reached by phone. "We've been working as hard a
possible to attract a sponsor for the class and we had not been able
to attain one. Without a sponsor it made it very hard to keep the
class on with the 2004 Miller Lite Summer Shootout Series. We wish
all of the Late Model drivers and crews the best and we do
appreciate the support that they have given us" continued Susan.

The 2004 Miller Lite Summer Shootout Series will continue for the
remainder of the season with the American Compressed Steel/Ditzfield
Transfer WOW 360 Sprints, W-K Chevrolet-Buick Modifieds, and Street
Stocks in action on a weekly basis.
