Modified practice night

Hey, I'm a racer from Brighton Illinois. Up until now I have always always been into asphault road racing. It is basically all I know. However, growing up my parents and I would go watch sprint cars at the dirt tracks. Now, I am maybe looking to get in a MODIFIED for the 09 season. Funds aren't the problem, I can pay for it. My biggest problem is...I know nothing about turning left only!!!

Over the past few years I have been into several types of 4 wheel racing. In 2006, I ran SCCA autocrosses with a Subaru STi. I won 3 events, and top 5 at every event. I also ran a Corvette Car Club autocross and had the FASTEST time at the event out of every class. For 2007, I raced a shifter kart mainly in Pevely. Once again, several wins and finished 4th in points due to not making all of the races. Here in 2008, I thought I would step up to a full sized NASA road race car. After 2 race weekends, I've come out with a 2nd and a 1st. I even set the class lap record @ Gateway.

After making the jump to a full sized car, it has been a bit of a disappointment. The racing is costing well over $1000 per weekend and NOTHING in return. I am looking to an alternative for my racing. That alternative looks to maybe be a MODIFIED. I know I can learn to race a dirt oval car...just looking to get a practice night in one first.

So, my question is - would anyone be interested in letting my try a modified out at a local practice night? I will pay for the practice and fuel. I would just really like to get out and see what I am possibly getting into. Once again, I've never experienced racing on a dirt oval, so I would really like to get a practice under my belt. Then for 2009...I would love to come out with my own modified. So, any interest???

Thanks,
Thomas Gage
